  • Provide HR guidance to supervisory and management staff at all levels on the full range of generalist HR duties.
  • Support the end to end recruitment process including writing Job Descriptions and interviewing.
  • Can cover as interim HR for sickness, holiday or maternity for very short periods of time e.g. a couple of weeks or months.
  • Support your senior leaders with the planning around the HR strategy.
  • Act as an Interim HR Manager for an allocated business area with knowledge of many sectors e.g. IT.
  • Coach and support management team members on effective HR disciplines.
  • Provide performance improvement and help with people management problems.
  • We are up to date with knowledge of employment law, case law, ACAS approach.
  • Help you write and implement HR Policy and Procedures.
  • Either assist or lead on staff restructuring and HR organisational changes.
  • Support or lead on TUPE projects or where you need specialist HR support.
  • Coach individual managers on complex people management issues, long term sick management, and dismissals.
  • Sit on disciplinary or grievance hearings as a member, or at appeal stage.
  • Support the annual appraisal cycle including moderation meetings, performance improvement and development needs.
  • Review and recommend changes to HR practices and process and provide recommendations to improve. 
  • We will adapt very quickly to your 'best practice’ and culture.   
  • Complete HR data extractions to provide performance and key data analytics.
  • We have solid PC Skills including knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Word & Excel.

We will continue to work with your leaders within the chosen business area to assess and develop their leadership capability and provide robust and challenging debate on people matters. We will also support in ensuring your line managers are reviewing and operating performance management processes and managing levers well. As part of the role we will be responsible for the quality of talent and succession planning within the chosen area including leading the education of line managers to ensure the business critical roles have strong succession plans and talent pipelines in place. This includes reviewing and identifying learning and development needs for the area and proposes activities to address these. We work with the senior leadership team to identify and deal with tactical and longer term reward issues. Work closely with Finance counterpart to ensure business area runs to budget and agreed headcount on all people-related expenditure. As HR Practitioners we establish excellent relationships with other members of the HR team to ensure a seamless service to the business area, holds others to account and delivers on promises. We will also work closely with the Resourcing Business Partner to ensure great quality talent is brought into the business and longer-term resourcing needs are understood. As part of this we will review the engagement and culture of the business area, flagging concerns before they become bigger issues.
